Chris Timms began her career by desining and making sewn knitted clothes for her own children. She progressed to designing for major thread and yarn companies, such as DMC and Sirdar, and for leading wonmen's magazines. Her designs have been sold as kits.
She lives beside the sea in Penzance, Cornwall and has six children and three grandchildren.
