Lynda Burgess has a degree in Fashion and Textile Design. She worked for Needlecraft magazine and was the editor of Cross Stitcher magazine. She has published several books on cross stitch and interior design.
Julia Tidmarsh has had a long standing interest in a variety of crafts and is in the main self-taught. Through experimentation in various crafts, such as batik, patchwork and stencilling, she discovered an enthusiasm for embroidery design, particularly cross stitch. Her work has been published in several magazines and books.
