Profile - malcolm HillierIn the 1970s Malcolm Hillier and Colin Hilton, successful garden designers, opened a flower shop in London which rapidly developed into a thriving business producing fresh and dried flower arrangements for interior decorations. Soon they were receiving commissions from well known clients and film and television companies in Europe, the United States and the West Indies.
Their best selling Dorling Kindersley title, The Complete Book of Dried Flowers and Malcolm Hillier's own Arranging Dried Flowers, Container Gardening, and titles in the series The Little Scented library are testaments to his sensitive talents in this field.
Before devoting his energy to gardens and flowers, Malcolm Hillier studied music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He then followed a successful career as a copywriter, finally becoming Head of Television in a leading advertising agency.
