Her involvement in fashion has included many special commissions for celebrities in the pop and film world, as well as design work for companies based in the Far East and editorial work for fashion magazines.Karen Manners also graduated in fashion from Kingston Polytechnic. While working in fashion PR, she arranged for some of Ruth's designs to appear on BBC TV's Friday Night Saturday Morning and they decided to collaborate on Knitting masterpieces. Many of the sweaters are modelled by celebrity friends of Ruth and Karen, including Tim Rice, Janet Street Porter, Mike Read, Jilly Cooper and Anne Diamond. |
