With a unique silky touch, Pearl Cotton is a mercerised, 2 ply loosely cabled embroidery thread which adorns and perfectly enhances embroidery creations.
Anchor Pearl Cotton offers a large colour range of up to 213 solid and ombré shades and up to 24 Multicolours depending on the ticket number or thickness. Shade numbers are as for Anchor stranded cotton. The shades shown are in stock - if you don't see the shade you want, please let us know and we'll order it for you. Due to its rounded finish and combination of thread thicknesses, Pearl Cotton is widely used for Hardanger embroidery as the thread lies proudly on the fabric surface to create a lovely, uniform finish. Anchor Pearl Cotton is also used for Cross Stitch in certain countries as well as Freestyle embroidery and other Counted Thread embroidery techniques. Anchor Pearl Cotton balls can also be used for crochet. Anchor Pearl Cotton is made from extra long staple 100% Egyptian cotton and is available in a variety of thicknesses.
