An advent calendar with a difference - on one side a penguin parade with numbers and rings to add a toy or sweet as a countdown to Christmas, and when the great day arrives, turn over the reversible hanging to enjoy the penguin Christmas party.

The pattern is worked on a single piece of fabric from the large scale full colour charts printed 10 stitches to 2 centimetres on ten A4 pages. The complete design is worked in whole and partial cross stitch with only a little backstitch in 30 shades of stranded cottons. The advent is worked over 148 by 196 stitches and the party over 154 by 219 stitches.

The kit contains:-
27 count Jobelan in pale blue;
Anchor stranded cottons sorted onto cards;
charts and detailed instructions;
needle, 24 plastic rings;
a pair of red plastic coated metal hangers.

A special Christmas decoration especially for children.
