An attractive picture of this classic steam locomotive. The Flying Scotsman was bought for the nation in 2004 is currently undergoing an overhaul at the National Railway Museum in York. If all goes well you will not only be able to see the engine but it's hoped that it will be back hauling trains by late 2007.

This is one of a series of steam engines in Heritage Stitchcraft's Classics Collection.
The chart is printed on four A3 sheets, two of which show the cross stitch and two the added backstitch. The design is over 160 by 105 stitches and uses 15 shades of stranded cottons.
