The designs are :- Snug as a Bug - the afghan is made with 4 panels of ladybirds, 4 panels of Bees, 4 panels of butterflies and a central panel with smaller motifs and the child's name ' is as snug as a bug under a cover of love'. Each panel works out five inches square over 14 count and is combined with twelve plain panels to make the personalised cover. The afghan used was the 14 count Nursery Time Baby Afghan from Charles Craft and Zweigart Palisade would be an alternative; Teddy and Ballons - a three inch square design; Better Find Me - 'If I'm quiet you'd better find me' - the banner with hammer, pliers and nails measures 9 inches by 2 inches over 14 count; It's a Boy - a birth sampler with train, lorry, yacht, plames and bears has space for the baby's name, date and place of birth and birth weight. The finished record in 8.5 x 12 inches over 14 count and some of the motifs can be used on bibs; It's a Girl (as illustrated) - A little bear asleep in a garden pot with blooms, birds, rabbit and duck finishes at 9 by 12 inches over 14 count; Burp a small design of baby bottles for a bib at 4 by 3 inches. The charts use whole cross stitch, partial cross stitch and backstitch in stranded cottons. The samplers also have added beads and buttons. The 16 page booklet has all the charts, alphabets and numbers, general cross stitch instructions and a conversion chart for DMC, Anchor and Madeira stranded cottons.
