An advent calendar with a difference - after you have counted down to Christmas Day with the cartoon penguins, turn over to their Christmas party to see their celebrations.

The two pictures are worked on a single piece of fabric and joined to make a reversible wall hanging. Add rings under the numbers on the advent side and add a little toy or treat for each day in advent. The penguins at the party are dancing to the piano music played by one of their friends. The Christmas tree even has a penguin on top.

The penguin advent is worked over 148 by 196 stitches and the party over 154 by 219. The full colour charts are on ten A4 sheets and us cross stitch and backstitch in 30 shades of stranded cottons. Conversions for Anchor, DMC and Madeira in the shades used are included.
