With a unique silky touch, Pearl Cotton is a mercerised, 2 ply loosely cabled embroidery thread which adorns and perfectly enhances embroidery creations. Due to its rounded finish and combination of thread thicknesses, it is frequently used for Hardanger embroidery in many countries, as the thread lies proudly on the fabric surface to create a lovely, uniform finish.
Anchor Pearl Cotton offers a large colour range of up to 213 solid and ombré shades, and up to 24 Multicolours depending on the ticket number or thickness.
Anchor Pearl Cotton is also used for Cross Stitch in certain countries as well as Freestyle embroidery and other Counted Thread embroidery techniques. Anchor Pearl Cotton balls are also frequently used for crochet. Anchor Pearl Cotton is made from extra long staple 100% Egyptian cotton and is available in a variety of thicknesses.
Number 12 comes in 5 gram balls which are approximately 60 metres long.
