Bothy Threads have added two new kits for cat lovers - Cat's Whiskers 1 and 2.
These colourful kits are adapted from the artwork of Denise Freeman and of course come with all the bits you'll need.
The prolific John Clayton has added a new dance design to his large Heritage Crafts collection. This time it's the romantic Waltz - with an elegant room as backdrop.
This image evokes the style and elegance of 19th century Vienna when the new dance craze - the waltz - swept everyone off their feet. Although it seems strange now, the waltz was banned in parts of Germany and Switzerland for a while because of the close contact beteen the dancers!
A new design from Thea Gouverneur featuring Delft Tiles combines the popular maritime theme with blue and white and is available in 35 count linen and 18 count Aida.
Anne has been trying out one of the Symphony range of tapestry frames from Siesta frames. She says «After years of struggling with a large home made frame, this has certainly made the large project I've been working on a lot easier. I'm working on Florentine stitch dining room seats and I'm able to work from the top down which is fine with this sort of frame. The only problem so far has been keeping the tension at the vertical edges of the canvas. Working with painted canvases would also work well but if you are working from a counted pattern then it really wouldn't be easy to work outwards from the centre».
The next big event in the stitching calendar is St Valentine's Day and we have collected together a few patterns in various styles for that occasion.
We have also added a new section of fabric remnants. These are all quality fabric from either Zweigart or Rico Design and are perfect. In size, they are usually around or smaller than a fat quarter and at a good price. So if you are starting a project, it might be worth your checking out the sizes available.
We have heard that Permin of Copenhagen no longer have the licence to produce Beatrix Potter kits and so when they're gone there will be no more of these very popular Permin kits. We have one of the larger Beatrix Potter kits The Rabbit Family - on special offer while stocks last.
