Hello again and a golden welcome to our September 2025 newsletter.
This month we have a number of kits from AVA, Abris Art, Heritage Crafts, Luca-S and Permin and some new patterns from Cottage Garden Samplings, Needle Work Press and Mirabilia
There's even a little good news for our US customers.
Kits
We have had another delivery of
AVA kits. They sell out quickly here and at our supplier, but at last we have more of the
visit their gallery here.
Abris Art have introduced
Llama Drama (
although I can't see the drama myself I thought Llamarama might be more descriptive.) But whatever it's called, it's a pretty picture for the llama/cactus/mountains lovers out there.
Heritage Crafts also just announced a new 'Elegance' lady by John Clayton. John's last two 'Elegance' designs have been hugely popular, so he decided to produce one in a similar style, but with a Christmas theme. Her name is Catherine and she does bear a passing resemblance to a rather well-known Catherine. John's Catherine is sitting by a blazing fire in an elegant red dress, cross-stitching. It's a very traditional image for Christmas. We could do with a bit more tradition these days.
We've added some new kits from Luca-S, including a very traditional(!)
cushion kit for cross stitchers with a butterflies motif. Perfect to bring a touch of nature into a modern setting.
Patterns
Part three of A Year in the Woods II,
An Alphabet Duo, a cross stitch pattern by Needle Work Press.

The most recent
Mirabilia design Mira Fairy has sections which are interchangeable with MD198 The Empress and MD199 Madam Mermaid.
We're expecting the Mira Fairy charts next week and we already have embellishment packs in stock.
Let us know if you've mixed and matched any of the patterns!
US Customers
We've made some progress in seeing through the mist that surrounds the new US import tariff system.
We believe we now know how to handle it.
Everyone has been caught on the back foot and we only yesterday found out how to get our US duty calculations sorted out.
It will take a while to reprogram our systems so we must ask for your continued patience while we work all this out.
And Finally
Well done if you've got this far!
Our title is from a poem by American children's poet, Annette Wynne (1889-1952).
The poem is called September and, being for children, is short and sweet.
«
Golden in the garden,
Golden in the glen,
Golden, golden, golden
September's here again!
Golden in the tree tops,
Golden in the sky
Golden, golden, golden
September's going by!»
Let's hope we all have a golden September remembering those halcyon days when we were children and life was but a golden dream.
But I digress ... May your own September be golden.
