Profile - Abhilasha SinghAbhilasha Singh's work is an eclectic mix of ethnic and traditional decorative painting, reflecting study in both India and Britain. She is a self-taught artist who won her first painting competition at the tender age of 2.
Her work has been promoted extensively in India and the UK and has attracted a tremendous response. While at school she started animation drawing as a hobby and this grew into a serious pastime. In 2000 she was approached by the British Fine Art Gallery to exhibit on-line and she has been promoting and showing her art work since then. She has met many different artists and celebrities from the fields of art and entertainment. «I especially like doing florals and still life and feel inspired by the works of early 16th century European artists. I have also been influenced by Russian artists of St. Petersburg, a place close to my heart for its immense beauty and talent.» Abhilasha was born on 27th June 1975 in Lucknow, India and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree. |
