Shipping and Delivery - Help and Information
Delivery on Needlecraft kits, charts, patterns, books and leaflets
We charge for shipping/delivery at cost for other products: Papercraft items and Supplies/Accessories.
Our shopping cart calculates the shipping costs when you place your order.
If your order has, say, a chart, fabric and needles, then you will have to pay shipping for the fabric and needles only.
In the UK, we use first class post
or a courier (for heavier items like some books and larger supplies).
Overseas orders (European Union, USA/Canada, Australasia, etc.) are shipped by airmail.
Despatch and Delivery Times
Items marked immediate despatch
are normally posted on the same or the next business day.
(Exceptions to this include: days when there is serious disruption to postal services through weather, strikes or other causes outside our control).
Please note that these are aims and not guarantees.
- Deliveries to the UK: within 2 days, or 4 days for large items.
- Deliveries to Europe: 5-7 working days.
- Deliveries to USA/Canada/Australia/New Zealand/Rest of the World: 7-10 working days.
For example, your own country's Customs may inspect your package and thus cause a delay in delivery; or there may be weather or air traffic problems which hold up your package.
(see Royal Mail website for more details):
* Corona virus: Postal services continue to be affected by the effects of the pandemic and so delays are inevitable. As a result, package deliveries may take double the normal amount of time or longer. Please visit the Royal Mail incident bulletin for further details.
Airmail package size and weight are restricted to Length + Width + Height under 900mm (and no dimension more than 600mm) and Weight under 2Kg.
Some products may exceed these limits and consequently cannot be shipped overseas.
Our cart should warn you that this is the case if you attempt to purchase one of these products.
Recent Problems in Western Canada
There have been problems with delivery to the western provinces of Canada over the last couple of years.
We believe this has been due to new Customs facilities in Vancouver (but information on this is sparse).
As of early-2019 we are accepting orders for BC addresses and those in nearby provinces but we cannot yet give delivery timescales with any confidence.
* Insurance Surcharge
Shipping to some countries may incur an insurance surcharge.
These countries include Russia, South Africa, Philippines and Malaysia
We have had to introduce this surcharge because of unreliable deliveries to these countries.
We absorb as much as we can of the insurance cost so you will find that the surcharge reduces as the value of your order increases.
