Profile - Yvonne HealyI studied painting at Maidstone College of Art and Design. I work mainly in oils . My interest is in landscape. I am painting coastal scenes of Arran at the moment. I am attempting to recreate the atmosphere of the places I visit, suggesting the light and colour and feeling of open space. I enjoy the challenge of taking a painting towards having more absract qualities of mark-making and colour composition. My work is figurative using a traditional subject and media but I feel I also produce contemporary images with different levels of interest to the viewer. |
