Anchor is a very well-known brand in the UK and Europe and the original company was founded 250 years ago.

As well as its range of stranded cotton threads, Anchor produces a large range of cross stitch and long stitch kits.

The Anchor brand is owned by Coats Crafts who are part of the Mez Group of companies based in Germany.

Coats Crafts are the largest supplier of needlecraft products in the UK offering a wide range of household brands: Coats for sewing thread; Anchor for embroidery and tapestry threads and kits; Patons for hand knitting; Opti for zips; Prym for haberdashery.
