Royal Mail is the postal service of the United Kingdom. A pay dispute has not been resolved and different groups of Royal Mail workers are striking on various dates and times. These are still somewhat uncertain and subject to change.
When a postal strike occurs, mail is either not picked up, not moved or not delivered. This means that your package will be delayed by one or more days if you happen to buy around the time of a strike.
If you buy on a day before a strike, we hold your order until the strike is over. We've found that there are fewer problems this way. This is because your package would otherwise be put in a warehouse and dealt with only after the backlog was cleared.
Outside this we'll despatch your order the same day or the next business day as normal.
