We missed our June newsletter as we were on holiday (vacation) and as we'll be away again for a few days at the end of this month, we thought we'd slot in a newsletter this weekend. Hope you find it it enjoyable and informative!
Vervaco's new collection of cushions, six lovely flowers to choose from and - for children - three characters from
Sesame Street:
Bert, Ernie and Elmo. A cushion back with zip already inserted is available to match all her cushions.
Another addition to her religious collection, the latest Thea Gouverneur design is of a
discontinued part of their range of kits and charts including the
meercat series, some
Cats Rule and most of
Tiddles. The list is quite long and we have ordered extras of some of the most popular kits but when those are gone, we won't be able to restock. So don't delay ordering any you've been meaning to stitch.
We are delighted to introduce to our range another UK company who produce sampler kits which are a mixture of traditional and unusual.
colourful beach huts, exotic birds and lazy dogs - possibly even lazier than their cat counterparts.
Permin's historical
Persephone of Greek legend who is as lovely and stylish as all the other
Nora Corbett ladies.
Permin's
Let's Party, a cocktail glass made from party words - should prove a hit as well.
A customer was recently looking for grey Aida to stitch a night scene. We were lucky to find a fat quarter but since coloured fabric becomes more and more difficult to find we've ordered
30 cm Aida bands in several other shades. These should be large enough for smaller projects and can be purchased in 50 cms and 1 metre lengths. There's the added advantage that two sides are already finished. Narrower bands are ideal for greeting cards.
Well, that's it for July. We're off out to sip cold drinks on the patio, with our noses in a good book soaking up the sun. (Dream on!) Wherever you are we hope you enjoy your summer (or winter) as much as we're enjoying ours.
