A very warm welcome to our July newsletter, the newsletter that nearly wasn't.
We have to apologise for being 'off air' for so long. Our hosting elves did a software 'upgrade' which went horribly wrong and it took us a lot of time and effort to get back to a working website. Over the past week we've been checking that it's all come back and we'll be back on air again next week (from Monday 1st July).
We appreciate your patience.
Next time we'll ask for more senior elves.
This month we have new kits from a newcomer, Abris Arts, and old favourites Bothy and Permin. We've also some new patterns and bead and floss packs.
Permin have also released their Christmas 2024 collection (!) and we have chosen a few for stock. There are two quirky poster designs from the 1960s by Danish illustrator Ib Antoni which we think are really cute!
New in from Ukrainian company Abris Arts is a super range of cross stitch kits. Their most recent kits have packaging that includes a QR code that allows you to download the pattern for the kit in PDF and Saga patterns format. This is handy if you're used to working from an iPhone rather than a paper chart.
Designs
We've now finally received the first charts in a new series by Nora Corbett called The Doll House. We expect this will be as successful as her previous collections.
Bead and Floss Packs
Following a large delivery of Mill Hill beads that have been on order for a while, we've been able to make up more Bella Filipina bead packs with plenty to spare for more packs.
The Bella Filipina charts which are currently out of stock should arrive on Monday. If you've registered to receive a notification, they should appear in your mailbox then.
If you have been waiting for a Mirabilia or Nora Corbett embellishment pack they may now be available. However the Christmas Courier designs which contain Magnifica beads still haven't come.
Happily, one thing that has shown up is the Valdani floss pack for the recent design by Rosewood Manor called Flowers of Quaker.
EU Customers
As well as our technical gremlins EU regulations have been giving us some problems recently. We haven't been able to get a definitive resolution to these yet so we are temporarily suspending the sale of patterns to EU countries. We hope this will be sorted soon!
