Inks in ink pad form are ideal for stamping outline images onto your card making or scrapbooking projects.
The Marvy Plume II marker pen sets that we stock can also be used for that purpose. This is the best option if you want to use various colours on one stamped image, as you can use the pen tips very accurately.
Ranger Archival Ink is very special because it is so versatile and permanent. It can be used on a huge variety of different mediums, even fabric!
Another useful thing about archival ink is that once it has been used to stamp an outline (and dried), the outline will remain intact if the image is then coloured in using water-based ink! Please have a look at the following instructional video for more details on Ranger Archival Ink
Tim Holtz Distress Inks are also produced by Ranger, where Tim Holtz is a creative director. The main thing about these inks is that they are slow drying, making them very easily blendable. They are also reactive to water, which can create some interesting effects. Have a look at this video for some ideas on how to use Distress Inks from the man himself, Tim Holtz.
Marvy Uchida Blending Blox provide a simple and effective way to get lots of colour into your project. Each ink pad in the range has four colour shades on one pad which can be easily blended, or just left in blocks of colour as you prefer. Watch this demonstration video for ideas on using the Blending Blox!
Using Marvy Uchida's Le Plume II pen sets is a great way to introduce detail into your artwork. The pens each have a brush nib and a fine nib for detail. The brush nib is great for inking your stamps, as it is fine enough that you can ink the different parts of the stamp image with different colours. In this demonstration video, designer Dee Gruenig shows us techniques with Le Plume II pens, as well as the Marvy Uchida Blending Blox:
We hope the tips and ideas here are a help to you in choosing your inks.
