Hardanger is a drawn thread technique that originates in Norway.
Hardanger is usually worked using a chart on a specialist evenweave fabric (also called Hardanger).
Hardanger work is characterised by the creation of patterns of 'holes' in the finished piece giving it a lace-like appearance.
It is extensively used for table covers, runners and mats which have a delicacy unobtainable with other techniques.
Our kits are sourced directly from leading makers like Permin of Copenhagen and we offer large discounts with free shipping to your door, wherever you are.
Explore our collections:
Permin of Copenhagen (Denmark) have a large range of hardanger kits - mainly table covers, runners, and mats but with a few small projects that would make an ideal introduction to the art of hardanger.
Rico Design of Germany also have a good range of competitively priced table hardanger kits.
Patricia Bage of Patricia Ann Designs hardanger kits offers wedding samplers and traditional themes.
