What do we mean by "Book"?

We use the word book to mean a substantial printed work that covers many topics or has many designs. This is to distinguish these items from booklets which we call patterns, charts or leaflets, which are typically a few pages long and devoted to a single topic or contain just a few designs.

Most of the books we offer are published by major publishers like David and Charles, B.T. Batsford, New Holland, Simon and Shuster, etc. Most of these books have an ISBN, though a few of the older ones were printed before this system came into use.

Pre-Owned Books

At the moment most of our books are pre-owned (secondhand).

Even though they are pre-owned, they are normally in new or nearly new condition. Deficiencies from new are noted in our description of the book.

Weight and Size

Books are typically much heavier and thicker than charts, patterns or leaflets.
