Nine attractive designs by various artists.
The 48 page booklet has full colour pictures and coloured diagrams of repeated sections of the designs. the patterns are worked in standard hardanger stitches - buttonhole stitch, chain stitch, eyelets, satin stitch, Kloster blocks and woven bars with some speciality stitches.
The designs are:-
{bold}Blue and White Applique Doily by Alice Greenspan{/bold} - worked on 22 count navy and 22 count white hardanger fabric, this uses white stranded cotton, DMC Light Effects E0168 silver, no. 5 pearl cotton in white and dark navy blue and no. 8 pearl cotton in white and dark navy blue with special stitches - french knots, lacy buttonhole edge, lacy daisy, lacy daisy. Finished size 53 by 53 centimetres;
{bold}Hardanger Die Biscornu by Robert Herceg{/bold} - worked on 28 count royal blue linen with finished size 3 inches cube using Thread Gatherer's Silk 'n Colors 015 robin egg blue and 048 pearled blue with black felt;
{bold}Robin's Almost Half Round Doily by Robin Knutson{/bold} - stitched on 32 count ivory Belfast linen using no. 8 and no. 12 pearl cotton in cream with finished size 31.5 by 11.5 inches;
{bold}Purple Beaded Doily by Kristine Slagle{/bold} - 20 centimetres square and stitched on 28 count lilac Lugana using no. 12 pearl cottons in two shades and two packs of Mill Hill 2024 heather mauve, this has special stitches - deaded Dove's eye, nutmeg filling, woven 5 spoke leaf and woven wheel;
{bold}White Heartful Table Topper by Masako Tsuchiya{/bold} - with finished size 22 inches square on 25 count while Dublin linen this uses pearl cotton no. 8 and no. 12 in white and speciality stitches - greek cross combination, needle weaving, nutmeg filling, pulled thread work, three-quarter flower, twisted bar and wrapped spoke;
{bold}Bullion Elegance by Margaret Waite{/bold} - 59 centimetres square with plain centre this was worked on 32 count linen with no. 8 and no. 12 pearl cotton in cream using extra stitches bullion 'flower' and pearl needlelace;
{bold}Green Piano Topper by Carolyn Grill{/bold} - worked on 22 count ivory hardanger using no. 5 and no. 8 green pearl cottons with VanDyke stitch, this finishes 9.26 by 54.5 inches;
{bold}The Butterfly Garden by Sherry McCullough {/bold}- a very colourful design on 24 count gold fabric with butterflies and flowers, this requires two shades of stranded cottons, no. 8 pearl cotton in four shades, no. 12 pearl cotton in two shades and Caron Wildflowers 085 antique brass and uses stitches - bullion knot, buttonhole bar, Maltese cross;
{bold}Greek Centrepiece by Yola Tsouchnika{/bold} - measuring 56 by 33 centimetres on 25 count ivory linen, this using no. 8 and no. 12 pearl cottons in white.
