Golden rice grains dance in abundance in the vast fields of the valley. Her hands caress trees, bearing bountiful fruits, both tart and sweet. She is a protector of crops and farm animals, she is Lakapati deity of fertility and she gave agriculture to mankind.
The pattern is worked in whole cross stitch and backstitch using 31 shades of stranded cottons in 35 skeins, one colour of Kreinik #4 braid and one of Kreinik #8 braid, two of Caron Waterlilies and Mill Hill beads. The beads may be found as an Embellishment pack in our Supplies and Accessories section.
The stitch count is 185 by 300 (Estimate Fabric Size) and the model was worked using DMC floss on 32 count specially dyed linen. We have suggested Vintage Laurel fabric by Permin in our Materials List.
While Mill Hill magnifica glass beads are unavailable, 10003 may be replaced with 02014 and 10074 with 02047
