The 16 page booklet has black and white charts, stitch diagrams and making up instructions.
Lavender Sampler worked in six shades of DMC stranded cottons, Pearl Cotton no. 8 in five colours, Pearl Cotton no. 12 in one colour and Caron pebbles watercolours.
The pattern uses whole cross stitch, Kloster blocks, connected wrapped bars, bullion centre, rhodes stitches, lazy daisies, backstitch, cretan stitch, fern stitch, herrinbone stitches, fly stitches, Smyrna crosses, woven cross stitches, four sided stitch, rice stitch, mosaic stitch, queen stitches, bullion stitches, montenegrin stitches, mordivinian star stitches, satin stitches and three-quarter flower stitches.
The stitch count is 66 by 130 (Estimate Fabric Size) and the model was worked on 32 count Jobelan.
The smaller designs are worked from the same stitch set and with a selection of the threads.
Scissors Case worked in six shades of DMC, two colours of no. 8 Pearl Cotton, one of no. 12 Pearl cotton and Mill Hill crystal treasure 13037. The stitch count is 62 by 46 (Estimate Fabric Size) and 78 by 54 (Estimate Fabric Size) and the model was worked on 32 count linen.
Shaker Box Top and Lining Motif worked in six shades of DMC stranded cottons, Pearl Cotton no. 8 in three shades, No. 12 in one shade and no. 5 in three shades. The stitch count is 66 by 66 (Estimate Fabric Size) for the lid, 28 by 28 (Estimate Fabric Size) for the lining and the model was worked on 32 count linen.
Needle Case worked in six shades of DMC cottons, Pearl Cotton no. 8 in two colours, Pearl Cotton no. 12 in one colour and one of Caron Watercolours.
The size is given for the sampler as illustrated.
