A band sampler with waves in Autumnal shades and using lots of special stitches.
The design by Nicole Dostal has a large scale black and white chart printed 10 stitches to one inch on twelve sides of A4. The pattern is worked in whole cross stitch, round Jessica stitch, Jessica heart, Jessica triangle, ray stitch large and small, sprat's head, windmill stitch, Diamond eyelet stitch, Diagonal Rhodes heart, Smyrna cross stitch, Rice stitch large and small, Rhodes triangle, Norwich stitch upright, partial upright and square and there are stitch diagrams and instructions for all.
There are eleven bands in total with twelve borders. The pattern uses 11 shades of Dinky Dyes floss ( available as a floss pack in our Supplies and Accessories Section) or DMC substitutes and 11 colours of Delica size 11 beads or Mill Hill substitutes - glass seed beads 00221 bronze, 00330 copper, 00557 old gold, 02047 soft willow, 02056 sable, 02098 pine green, antique seed beads 03003 antique cranberry, 03014 matte olive, 03038 antique ginger, 03039 champagne, 03575 satin coral.
