The design by Nora Corbett has large scale black and white charts printed 10 stitches to approximately 2 centimetres on both sides of an A3 sheet with key. The pattern is worked in whole cross stitch and backstitch using 45 shades of DMC stranded cottons in 56 skeins, Kreinik #4 braid in two colours 011HL Gun Metal High Lustre and 027 orange and Mill Hill beads glass seed 00081 jet, glass seed 00165 Christmas red, glass seed 00367 garnet, two packs glass seed 02011 Victorian Gold, antique seed 03058 Mardi Gras red, size 6 16002 midnight, size 6 16026 crystal blue, size 6 16616 matte fiesta sunset, size 8 18824 opal lilac, petite seed 40168 sapphire.
The stitch count is 214 by 313 (Estimate Fabric Size) and the model was worked on 32 count Beach Walk linen with 16 count Aida as an alternative. Fabric is no longer available in this shade and we would suggest Waterlily CL065L/203 a slightly paler green.
