The September Sapphire Fairy captures a serene moment of a young fairy. She is inspired by beautiful prints and kimonos of the Far East and butterflies dance about her lovely silk brocade gown. She is a sweetheart that lingers in the amazement of her fluttery friends.
The design by Nora Corbett has a large scale black and white chart printed 10 stitches to 2 centimetres on two side of an A3 sheet with key in a chart pack. The pattern is worked in cross stitch and backstitch using 30 shades of stranded cottons with Kreinik Blending filament 003L robot red, 026L punchy purple, 027L orangeruptis, Caron Waterlilies 175 dark shadows and Mill Hill Beads glass seed 02031 Citron, glass seed 02105 sweetcorn, Size 8 18002 midnight, petite seed 42101 purple.
The stitch count is 125 by 223 (Estimate Fabric Size) and the original was stitched on 32 count white linen CL065L/00 using DMC stranded cottons.
